A Disturbing Christmas?

This past Tuesday CJ Mahaney of Sovereign Grace Ministries wrote an excellent reminder about the true meaning of Christmas. I thought it was worth sharing with you because my sermon last Sunday at Servant's Heart Fellowship was on how Christmas is really about Christ's suffering and our salvation. Check out CJ's post: www.sovereigngraceministries.org/Blog

Just another comment to contribute to the numbing of your mind.

Just so no one will think this is a spam comment, I will say that your sermon this morning was helpful. You should preach for a living.

What are you people doing on here wasting time??!! Get back to work!!! Heh.

I appreciate the link. The message needs to be realized. Was it a "Silent Night"? (I've had enough babies to know the answer to that.) Did the baby not cry? Was it calm? I've heard speculation on just what Mary must have been pondering in her heart and thought, Yeah...only a MAN would think that! HeeHee.

Mary and Joseph...in the middle of social and political unrest...getting ready to be on the run for their lives and the life of their child--ugh...this doesn't go with my party mood for Christmas.

My prayer is that we would all see the message in that Christ came in the middle of trouble and turmoil, and He is still there at our weakest and most unsettled times to be our Savior.

Bonnie,
That is so not mind numbing. Great comment.
